We, the board directors of the African Youth Caucus launched our Strategic Plan for the period 2020-2025 in September 2020. The event was hosted by Hon. Justice Patrick Tabaro; Retired Judge of the High Court of Uganda, Chairperson of the Makerere University Staff Appeals Tribunal and Senior Advisor to the African Youth Caucus Board of Directors.
The launch was conducted in a cordial and diplomatic style and deliberated on the strategic objectives from the Strategic plan for the period 2020-25 and the Virtual 2nd edition of the Africa Model United Nations Conference scheduled to take place in December 2020.
The Board of Directors reiterated the key objective as capacity building for the African Youth Caucus Secretariat and creating a cadre of 4000 African Youth with capacity in global and diplomatic strategies through; the Harvard World Model United Nations in Cambridge, Massachusetts; Montreal Model United Nations in Quebec, Canada and Africa Model United Nations Conference; an initiative of the African Youth Caucus.
The Board of Directors emphasised continuous partnership with neighboring African States and their Embassies in the republic of Uganda; as in the past at Model United Nations Trainings at the University Of Rwanda in Kigali, Rwanda and Mozambique Tanzania Centre for Foreign Relations in Dares salaam Tanzania.
